Sara G. Lewis

Sara Lewis grew up in Lakewood, Colorado. After spending a year abroad as an exchange student to Turkey in high school, she graduated from the University of Rochester in 2002 with a Bachelor's degree in Cultural Anthropology. Sara worked her way through law school as a bankruptcy paralegal. In December, 2009, she graduated from the Sturm College of Law at the University of Denver. In October, 2010, Sara began practicing law in her own right, able to "hit the ground running" from her years as paralegal.

Sara's practice is focused on consumer and small business bankruptcy, primarily Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 work. She estimates that she has successfully completed over 1,000 cases during the course of her career, both as a paralegal and as an attorney.

Sara is a Board Member for a local non-profit organization, the Friends of Gueoul. Its mission is the education of girls in the village of Gueoul, Senegal, whose families are too poor for them to go to school. Besides promoting positive social change through education, Sara's interests include dance, cooking, watching Bollywood films, playing computer games, and reading.
